The award follows recognition by The Banker in 2016 as Bank of the Year in Andorra

Crèdit Andorrà has been recognised as best private bank in Andorra for 2017 by the financial publications PWM and The Banker, both of the Financial Times Group. The award recognises the bank’s strong movement towards innovation in its business model and the digitalisation of Wealth Management services, as well as its adaptation to the new regulatory framework.


This digital service enables clients to manage all of their investments: advice, execution of buy and sell orders, custody, and tracking


Crèdit Andorrà has launched Merkaat, Andorra’s first digital investment advisor. It will provide a new service that combines technology and innovation with the bank’s advisory services. This innovative service, accessible from the online e-Crèdit service, gives clients a totally digital experience, adapts to new financial habits and is now available to new client segments.


The Banker, the prestigious Financial Times publication, recognises the Crèdit Andorrà Group for its high capitalisation and financial strength, with equity of 654 million euro 

Crèdit Andorrà is the only bank in Andorra classified in the annual Top 1000 ranking by the Financial Times group. The bank has very high financial strength, with equity of 654 million euro at the end of 2016 – of which 552 million is Tier 1 Capital –, meaning that its high level of capitalisation continues to guarantee sustained growth. 


• Despite the difficult situation in 2016, total business volume was 15.885 billion euros, and assets under management totaled 13.068 billion euros. 

• The Group paid special attention to adapting to international cooperation and transparency standards. 

• The bank maintained its commitment to the country, with loan investment of 2.817 billion euros and 2.67 billion euros allocated to social actions


Fitch Ratings has affirmed the long-term rating of Crèdit Andorrà at ‘BBB’ with a stable outlook, and its short-term rating at ‘F3’. According to Fitch, this rating reflects a balanced business model focused on offering private banking and asset management services both in Andorra and at an international scale, as well as domestic retail banking services.


For the fifth consecutive year, the financial magazine has granted the private banking award to Crèdit Andorrà, and for the third year it recognised the social responsibility policies

Global Banking & Finance Review has recognised Crèdit Andorrà for the fifth consecutive year as the best private banking in Andorra. Also, this time for the third consecutive year, the magazine has evaluated the bank's Corporate Social Responsibility policy and has named it as the Principality's best bank in CSR.

Gesalcalá receives the Best Asset Management Company in Spain award in the 16 to 25 rated funds category

Banco Alcalá’s investment fund manager, Gesalcalá, has been recognised by the European Funds Trophy 2017 with the Best Asset Management Company in Spain award in the 16 to 25 rated funds category. Diego Fernández de Henestrosa, Chairman of Banco Alcalá, collected the award before an audience of more than 200 professionals in an award ceremony that took place in Paris.


The team consists of senior professionals with a wide knowledge of the area, expertise, and a consolidated career in private banking and asset management

Banco Alcalá, a private banking institution of Crèdit Andorrà Financial Group, becomes established in the centre of Valencia. The bank, focused on wealth management through a boutique service, therefore confirms its interest in Valencia as financial centre.


This is the eighth time that Crèdit Andorrà receives this award, which in this edition has recognised the bank’s track record, its leading position in the country and the activity carried out through the year

Crèdit Andorrà has been elected Bank of the Year Andorra 2016 by The Banker magazine, a member of the Financial Times group. The award recognises the track record of the institution and the activity carried out through a year that has been especially difficult for the financial sector in the country. This is the eighth time in the last 14 years that Crèdit Andorrà is appointed the most outstanding bank in the country by The Banker.


The institution takes its commitment to society to the greatest international level by incorporating Sustainable Development Goals

Crèdit Andorrà has joined the United Nations Global Compact, thus reaffirming its position as the leading company in the country in terms of corporate social responsibility. Voluntary membership implies supporting the 10 principles that are globally recognised and that the institution promotes in the areas of human rights, labour rights, environment and fighting against corruption.
